When it comes to Africa, its best to adress the women. There are many great women and one especially known in the world from Kenya is Wangari Maathai Her example of steadfastness in her mission has given hope to many women in Kenya and the world. I salute women who take pride in being women and do what they can to make their part of the world a better place. 
There are many young women at La Unica Child care centre, Lusigeti, Kenya who find hope and strength at LA Unica. Lets help the Women at LA Unica not only to take life as it comes but to join in La Unica mission to strenghten these individuals to believe in themselves and a better world.

La Unica is a school for those with no or small money. Orphans enroll for free (38 last yr), children with one parent pay 2 dollars per month and those with both parents alive pay 4 dollars per month. These money is divided between the teachers, schoolbooks, administration and school investments. There ar up to 10 people in the staff that works here for hardly no pay. Symbolic pay…. about 25 dollars per month each. This money covers for example housing but not food… the teachers are unemployed and are also looking for steady work… meaning they need to go to the city on a regular basis and the cash they get from La Unica is used for these purposes and clothing. Teachers in Kenya look respectable and are required to do so. To be able to go about as described above, the teachers live in the neighborhood with friends or relatives, eating what comes from the family gardens (shambas).
